Here at The Edinburgh Woollen Mill, we’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join our team at our Head Office in Carlisle.
This role is perfect for someone looking to begin their career in fashion. You’ll support the Buyer with day‑to‑day operations, work closely with suppliers and internal teams, and gain hands‑on experience across the full product journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support and handle daily queries.
- Help manage the critical path and support sample approvals.
- Manage and organise samples, including coordinating with suppliers.
- Carry out comparative shopping to stay aware of market trends.
- Build strong working relationships across Buying, Merchandising, Design, Technical and Marketing teams.
- Support with general ad‑hoc tasks and courier packages.
About You
- Passionate about fashion and eager to learn.
- Friendly, organised, and able to work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and good time management.
- Confident with Microsoft Word, Excel and general PC use.
