Edinburgh Steiner School has a vacancy for a part time teacher to deliver the Advanced Higher Art course. The successful candidate will be joining one of the most innovative and successful art departments in Scotland. This teacher will be expected to deliver 6 x 40 minute lessons, set as 2 x 2 hour slots from 15.15 - 17.15 on two afternoons per week, but will be awarded a further 3 paid lessons per week to prepare portfolios etc. This will give a salary of £10,874.86 pa.
Person specification:
- Degree level education in relevant subject.
- GTCS registration, or the ability to attain this by August 2026.
- Familiarity with the Advanced Higher Art course.
- Creativity and enthusiasm.
- Good interpersonal skills, empathy and adaptability.
- An understanding of Steiner/Waldorf education, or a desire to develop this.
