We are looking for a driven and experienced Senior International Officer to join our International Recruitment Team at Edinburgh Napier University. Based within our International Operations and Student Recruitment Directorate, this role plays a key part in delivering our internationalisation and student recruitment strategies. You will contribute to attracting and converting high-quality international applicants, supporting the student journey from initial engagement through to enrolment, both in Edinburgh and across our global partner network.

The Role

  • Working as part of a regional team and reporting to the Head of International Recruitment, you will lead student recruitment activity across Europe, helping deliver ambitious recruitment targets aligned with the University's international strategy.
  • You will develop and implement targeted recruitment and marketing plans, build and manage relationships with agents, partners and key stakeholders, and represent the University overseas to raise our profile and drive student enrolment.
  • Using market intelligence and performance data, you will identify opportunities, inform recruitment activity and optimise results across your assigned markets.
  • Taking ownership of the University’s agent network within the region, you will help ensure compliance with the Agent Quality Framework (AQF) and support a high-quality recruitment experience.
  • You will lead projects across the International Recruitment team and contribute to wider Directorate and University initiatives, collaborating with colleagues to support recruitment, conversion and internationalisation objectives.

This role requires a proactive and flexible approach, including regular overseas travel and occasional evening and weekend work.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Experience in international student recruitment
  • Experience in marketing and/or sales
  • The ability to build successful relationships and a network of contacts.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overseas and work flexible hours including some evening and weekend work
  • Excellent interpersonal and team member skills, with the ability to relate successfully to colleagues, students and those external to the University

Additional Information

Salary: £37,694 - £46,049 per annum. On this occasion, the University will not consider applicants requiring sponsorship or visa support for this role. International applicants will therefore only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
