SIPR Administrator – Edinburgh Napier University
We are seeking a SIPR to provide operational, governance and logistical support for the Scottish Institute for Policing Research (SIPR) at Edinburgh Napier University. The role is part of a fixed‑term, part‑time appointment, supporting SIPR’s core functions and serving as the main coordination point for internal and external activities.
Role Overview
As the SIPR Administrator, you will work closely with SIPR’s Knowledge Exchange and Business Manager and the leadership team to ensure smooth operations across the institute. Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of administrative duties, from meeting facilitation to finance and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Organise and minute governance meetings.
- Plan, organise and deliver a range of online and in‑person events.
- Handle finance processes, including purchase orders, invoicing and expense processing.
- Arrange travel and accommodation for SIPR leadership and invited guests.
- Serve as the first point of contact via the SIPR e‑mail inbox, engaging stakeholders and providing professional proactive support.
Qualifications
- Good passes at Higher Grade or equivalent, with demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- Highly numerate, with proven experience working in a finance environment.
- Demonstrable administration experience in a professional capacity.
- High level of computer literacy, including MS Excel, MS Word and e‑mail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident in communicating at all levels across the University, both verbally and in writing.
Salary & Contract
Salary: £26,093 – £31,236 per annum (pro‑rated, depending on experience). Contract: Fixed term until 31 Aug 2027. Hours: 21 hours weekly.
