Communications Officer (Internal) to join our Communications team.
This is an exciting time to join the communications team as the University embarks on a period of significant transformation and growth, you'll play a key role in shaping how we engage, inform and connect our colleagues, helping to bring our ambitions to life through impactful internal communications.
The Role Working closely with the Senior Internal Communications Officer, you will play a key role in delivering compelling internal communications that showcase university life, celebrate achievements, and support the successful delivery of strategic messages across the institution.
You'll create, edit and publish engaging content across a range of internal communications channels, including our intranet, newsletters, student portal and digital platforms.
From writing stories and developing campaigns to supporting senior leadership communications and analysing engagement data, you'll help ensure our communications are clear, consistent and impactful.
The role offers variety and the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the University, supporting projects, campaigns and activities that enhance the experience of both colleagues and students.
About You You will be an excellent communicator who enjoys creating engaging content, building relationships across a diverse organisation, and helping colleagues and students stay informed, connected and engaged.
Has experience working in a communications, marketing or related environment.
Is an excellent writer with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and channels.
Can create engaging digital content that brings messages to life.
Has strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Is highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Uses insight and evaluation to continuously improve communications activity.
Brings creativity, initiative and a collaborative approach to their work.
Experience of creating and editing video, working with digital communication platforms, newsletters, intranet content and content management systems would be advantageous, as would experience gained within the Higher Education sector.
