The Property & Facilities team at Edinburgh Napier University is dedicated to delivering excellent service and experience for staff, students, and visitors across all campuses. The Conferences and Events team promotes and coordinates seamless and memorable internal and external events.
As Events Coordinator, you will take responsibility for sales, client liaison, and the coordination of University services to support events. Your experience in conference, events, and accommodation sales & coordination will be key as you undertake facility visits, meetings, and negotiations with clients to attract new and repeat business.
You will have the chance to let your passion for sales and events planning shine through, representing the University at networking and industry peer events and conferences, building a contact base of clients and suppliers. Your experience of end-to-end event or project coordination will see you becoming the main liaison with other internal support service departments to fully coordinate events, while managing billing, invoicing, and reporting of all bookings.
We require:
- Higher Grade qualification (or equivalent) or relevant demonstrable experience
- Demonstrated experience of conference, events & accommodation sales & coordination
- Skilled sales closer with excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work well under pressure often to tight deadlines
- Excellent IT skills
- Flexibility to work occasionally outside core hours where necessary

Additional information:
- Starting salary - £31,236 - £34,610 per annum (depending on experience)
- Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 35 hrs/wk, hybrid working with minimum 3 days on campus
