Your ability to be proactive, solution focused and responsive to changing situations will be beneficial as you organise setup, calibration, and operation of equipment as well as provide hands-on technical support during practical sessions, assessments, and research activities. Having organisational and team management skills will also be important, as you line manage and coordinate a team of technicians, which will include scheduling, task allocation, and professional development. All of this will be underpinned by your excellent understanding of Health & Safety regulations and other legislative standards in a technical environment, ensuring all facilities are maintained in compliance with regulations and relevant legislative standards, taking a lead role in ensuring that risk assessments and safety protocols are up to date and consistently implemented.

This is an excellent opportunity for you as an experienced Healthcare Technician looking for the next step in your career. If you have the skills and experience, particularly in a Higher Education setting, then we would love to hear from you.

What we will need from you:

  • Proactive and solution focused with the ability to respond positively to change and proactively prioritise competing demands

Benefits we offer: 41 days annual leave (including bank holidays), generous pension scheme with Employer contribution of 17.6%, and professional development opportunities.

Salary: £37,694 - £46,049 p/a (dependent on experience)

Contract: Permanent, Full Time 35 hrs/wk

Interviews: Week commencing 16th February 2026
