The Role
As a University Tutor, you will have the opportunity to join the team at our Business School and take responsibility for delivering teaching and student‐centred learning, underpinned by academic scholarship and professional practice within your assigned areas of responsibility. The role involves delivering tutorials, supervising and marking projects, and contributing to marking activity across the subject group during peak periods. You will also serve as a dedicated Personal Development Tutor for students progressing from the Pathway College, a responsibility central to enhancing student engagement, retention and progression, which are core priorities for both the School and the University. Further, you will have a profound positive impact on the experience of our students, using initiative, creativity, and judgement in applying appropriate approaches to teaching and learning support and scholarly activities.
What we will need from you
Teaching will take place face‐to‐face on campus, so we will need you to be available to attend in person for weekly classes. We will look for demonstrable evidence of teaching expertise in an appropriate discipline, and we would be keen to receive applications from candidates that complement or enhance the expertise of our team. You will also need:
- Experience of teaching, learning support & assessment
- Evidence of teaching and learning enhancement initiatives you have developed or been involved in, which will directly support the University strategy of enhancing student experience and increasing graduate employability.

Salary: £43,482 per annum
Contract: Permanent
