The HUB for SUCCESS (HfS) supports care experienced individuals to get in, stay in, and thrive in further and higher education. We are a partnership organisation, led by a small team with big values, driven to deliver services using co-designed and trauma-informed approaches. We put The Promise at the heart of everything we do, and champion the expertise that comes with lived experience.

As part of our ongoing efforts, we are currently recruiting a fixed-term HUB Coordinator for 12 months, to support the Hub Associate Programme and lead our Associate programme, taking it into an exciting next phase - an award-winning, co-designed developmental employment programme for care experienced students from across our partner colleges and universities.

The HUB Coordinator role will provide you with an opportunity to work as part of a team of staff and student associates to take this project into its next phase. You will have the opportunity to work in partnership with prestigious educational establishments as well as care-experienced individuals, as part of an innovative programme which could ultimately change the landscape of educational opportunities for people in care. While contributing to the strategic direction, you will also have the remit to shape and maintain the programmes and workstreams you lead on - while ensuring that the people we are here to serve remain central to our aims. Part of this will also involve working with a small group of people who access the HfS support - ensuring you remain alert to the needs of those we are here to serve.

As HUB Coordinator, you will also have the opportunity to work across other programmes and projects in collaboration with the team. You will be in an excellent position to use your experience in widening participation, third/charity sector, social work, social care, youth/community work, or the education sector, to support our care-experienced individuals to access and succeed in further and higher education.

As a small, agile and collaborative team, we support each other in the design, delivery, and evaluation of all our programmes and projects so if you have the skills and experience to succeed in this meaningful and rewarding role, then we would love to hear from you.

What we will need from you:

  • A degree or equivalent relevant sector work experience
  • Experience and understanding of trauma informed and relationship-based practice
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of and/or experience working in education sector, social work/care sector or charity/third sector
  • Experience of leading and delivering collaborative projects with a wide range of stakeholders
  • PVG Scheme Membership or willingness to apply

Benefits we offer:

We offer 41 days annual leave (includes bank holidays), a generous pension scheme (17.6%), flexible working and professional development opportunities.

Additional information:

  • Salary: £37,694 p/a
  • Contract: Fixed Term 12 months, Full Time 28 hrs/wk
  • Interviews: Week commencing 29th June 2026

Please note: We are reviewing applications as they come in and may close the advert early once we find the right candidate. If this role interests you, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. The University holds Disability Confident, Carer Positive and Stonewall Scotland Diversity Champion status. We are a flexible Employer. On this occasion, the University will not consider applicants requiring sponsorship or visa support for this role. International applicants will therefore only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
