The Role

We are looking for a User Experience Designer (Grade 4) to join our IS Projects Team, working with the Senior UX Designer to champion user-centred design across the University's digital applications. This is a broad role spanning the full UX lifecycle from research through to end design within the team's Service Design function, where you will follow and champion the methodology.

What we are looking for

  • A degree in a relevant discipline or other qualifications with relevant practical experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of (and passion for) user-centred design.
  • Understanding of service design.
  • Experience using design and workshopping tools such as Adobe CC, Miro, Figma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of accessibility and WCAG guidelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to share information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple pieces of work and deliver to agreed timescales.
