Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood is a busy 160-bedroom hotel in the heart of Edinburgh’s old town & of course near Holyrood!

A bit about the Job
Our Casual Leisure Attendants play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional experience to all hotel guests and members. They are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and vital members of our Spa & Leisure team. Their responsibilities include ensuring guests have a seamless journey from check-in through their immersive leisure experience, concluding with the provision of memberships and products tailored to their needs. As frontline representatives of our company, Leisure Attendants are dedicated to consistently maintaining and delivering high standards.
Skills & Knowledge
- Deliver outstanding service by resolving guest issues and ensuring the Spa & Leisure brand experience is consistently upheld.
- Perform duties in accordance with Edinburgh Marriott Hotels Holyrood policies and procedures.
- Ensure that brand standards are met at all times
- Ensuring work is performed consistently within Edinburgh Marriott Hotels Holyrood policies and procedures.
- Be planned, organised and prioritise work
- Confidently assist and sell to customers within the gym environment.
- Working collaboratively and supporting other team members and departments to deliver their goals.
Key job responsibilities, this list is not exhaustive:
- Ensure the leisure facility is maintained to a high standard and in accordance with guidelines before and during public opening hours.
- Support the Manager/Supervisors in ensuring the facility operates efficiently and is compliant with operational controls.
- Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.) for pool rotations, breaks, and poolside duties.
- To take a proactive role in developing/selling Spa & Leisure treatments, products and any other services and/or activities for the Hotel.
- To provide prompt, friendly and efficient service thus ensuring the highest possible standards of customer care.

- To ensure the booking system and membership scheme is administered and maintained to a satisfactory standard.
- To undertake administrative and reception duties as required.
- To handle complaints promptly and professionally demonstrating genuine care and concern for customers.
- To comply with all legal requirements in respect of health, safety and welfare of all members of staff and customers.
- To ensure customer information is up to date, available and delivered to company standards.
- To check in guests who attend the Spa & Leisure Club.
- Conduct engaging introductory gym sessions to help guests and members become familiar with the equipment and facilities, ensuring they feel confident and comfortable using the gym.
Additional:
- To assist with life-saving responsibilities in accordance with NPLQ training and the facility’s E.A.P.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the Spa & Leisure Club and pool area, meeting quality standards before, during, and after operational hours.
This position will include shifts working Saturday and/ or Sunday. Additional hours may be required to support the hotel during our busier periods including bank holidays.
