Salary – £28,659 per annum

Hours – Full-time, 35.75 hours per week

We have a unique opportunity to join Edinburgh Leisure’s award-winning swim team as a Swim Coordinator.

What You’ll do:

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead the delivery of your venue’s aquatics programme with a focus on growing the programme, improving its quality, and ensuring exceptional customer experience.
  • Train, mentor, and manage your team of swim teachers, providing regular support, feedback, and development opportunities to ensure they maintain high standards of teaching.
  • Drive the standards of swim coaching delivery by leading by example and acting as a mentor and role model to the team.
  • Monitor programme performance and implement improvements in collaboration with colleagues, partners, and the Aquatics team.
  • Identify and communicate ongoing development needs, ensuring all staff attend regular training and continue to build knowledge and experience in line with EL’s standards.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Scottish Swimming UKCC aquatic teaching: Level 2 or SSTQ or equivalent.
  • Current NPLQ (training will be provided if required to achieve the qualification during the probation period).
  • Previous experience in delivering quality, interactive and engaging swimming lessons with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop.
  • Experience leading or supervising teams, ideally in aquatics or swim teaching, with skills in managing staff performance, development, and scheduling to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Great listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a diverse group of people to motivate, engage and provide constructive feedback.
