Salary – £26,676 per annum, pro rata for part-time (£14.35 per hour)

What You’ll Do

  • Respond to booking enquiries via telephone, email and online channels, delivering a professional and customer‑focused service.
  • Use booking and helpdesk systems to record, manage and track bookings across schools, sports pitches and leisure venues.
  • Check availability and allocate bookings accurately using the MRM system.
  • Process payments, Direct Debits and invoices, resolving billing queries and investigating disputes as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of facilities, services and availability across multiple venues.
  • Handle first‑line customer complaints, resolving issues promptly and escalating where necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure bookings are delivered smoothly.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a customer service role, with the confidence and resilience to handle challenging or complex customer situations.
  • Customer‑focused, enthusiastic personality with strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to clearly convey information and ideas to a varied customer base.
  • Good numeracy skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial and booking‑related information.
  • Strong written skills, with the ability to read, understand and produce clear written communications and records.
  • Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office or similar tools, and the ability to learn new booking and helpdesk systems.
  • Experience handling financial transactions, such as payments, invoicing or Direct Debits, in line with data protection requirements.

Working Pattern

This is a part‑time role working 22.25 hours per week, spread across 3 or 4 days. The working pattern will include Mondays and Fridays, with the remaining day or days agreed with the successful candidate. Working hours will be scheduled between 08:00 and 18:00.
