An environmental consultancy firm is looking for a Senior EIA Consultant to join the team. This position is based in Edinburgh and is to plan, complete and manage client relationships, development projects, and staff, ensuring the delivery of projects to timescale and budget.

Key Duties:

  • Plan and manage projects to ensure delivery to timescale and budget; maintaining accurate project programmes and budgets.
  • Effectively manage client expectations, being proactive and communicating with clients about project status and progress.
  • Technically review information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Complete technical studies (as relevant to experience).
  • Input to financial budgets and resourcing, manage project costs and issue invoices.
  • Input to and manage bids and tenders.
  • Regularly review ongoing projects and potential projects.
  • Attend site and supervise staff on site.
  • Continually consider risks and liabilities, highlighting concerns to line management.
  • Consider Health and Safety and minimise risks at all project stages.
  • Maintain good relationships with clients.
  • Identify new business relationships and opportunities and follow up.
  • Contribute regularly to sales and marketing strategy and activity.
  • Highlight and communicate potential issues to line managers and clients.
  • Represent Atmos Consulting at internal and external events.
  • Take responsibility for performance and delivery.
  • Demonstrate leadership throughout completion of the project.
  • Ensure timely decision making.
  • Highlight and manage resourcing issues.
  • Communicate company values and consider them throughout projects.
  • Support Senior Management on key business initiatives.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Work effectively within the company and project team, communicating and sharing information and ideas.
  • Actively engage with colleagues and clients.
  • Manage, coach, encourage, and support more junior team members.
  • Share and impart knowledge to more junior staff members.
  • Develop and manage client relationships.
  • Directly manage junior staff both on specific projects and generally within the office.
  • Work with the Planning and EIA team and BD & Sales Manager to develop new business development opportunities.

Salary: 35k, hybrid is okay after a few months.
