Location: Glasgow

Salary: Up to £45,000 p/a plus package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a contracts delivery team in Glasgow, working on the installation of pumps, screens, rotating equipment, pipework, valves, and ancillary systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical installation of pumps, screens, rotating equipment, and associated pipework across Scotland
  • Install and maintain systems including valves and ancillary equipment
  • Assemble and fit pipework across PVC, ABS, ductile iron, galvanised, and stainless steel materials
  • Work to technical instructions, drawings, and specifications ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and contractors to deliver projects to high standards
  • Comply with all Health and Safety legislation, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements

What They\’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within the water or wastewater industry
  • Experience in pipework assembly and installation of pumps including centrifugal, multistage, and progressive cavity types
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to follow and interpret technical information
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work well in a team
  • Knowledge of engineering tools, equipment, and materials across mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines
  • Working knowledge of current health and safety legislation and safe working practices
