We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and groundskeeping. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The Landscape Technician will be responsible for the upkeep of gardens, lawns, and other landscaped areas, utilising both hand tools and power tools to achieve high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
  • Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to maintain gardens and landscaped areas.
  • Dig, plant, and irrigate flowers, shrubs, and trees as per design specifications.
  • Build and maintain garden features such as pathways, retaining walls, and decorative elements.
  • Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order through regular cleaning and basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in using power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers is advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic repairs on landscaping equipment.
