Connect Appointments is recruiting an HGV Technician to join a well‑established industrial business based in Kirkcaldy. Our client operates a busy fleet within a heavy industrial environment, offering a structured career pathway to become a DAF certified HGV Technician – with pay increases and progression to back shift and call‑out work for the right candidate.
What's on offer?
- Full‑time permanent position
- Monday to Thursday, 7am to 3:30pm and Friday, 7am to 2:30pm
- £35,000 per annum based on experience
- Overtime available at time and a half up to 10.5 hours, and double time beyond that
- Clear career progression to DAF certified HGV Technician
As an HGV Technician, your duties will include:
- Driving HGV vehicles as required within the business operation
- Carrying out basic vehicle checks including tyre pressure, oil levels and wiper condition
- Supporting the maintenance team with general vehicle upkeep
- Maintaining accurate records and adhering to all safety standards
To be considered as an HGV Technician, you will need:
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Some mechanical knowledge or semi‑skilled technician experience
- A willingness to develop and train towards full HGV technician certification
- A reliable, professional approach to work
