Join a World-Class Chemical Manufacturing Site An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process / Chemical Engineer to join one of the UK's leading chemical manufacturing facilities.
Operating within a COMAH Top Tier environment, you'll work on major process improvement and capital projects at a site producing high-value speciality chemical products for global markets.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, driving continuous improvement, and working alongside experienced engineering professionals in a modern manufacturing environment.
The Role
As part of the Process Technology team, you'll support projects across both active ingredient and formulation plants, contributing throughout the full engineering life cycle.
Your responsibilities will include
- Delivering continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Supporting cost reduction and process optimisation projects.
- Providing process design, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Working within a robust process safety and COMAH framework.
- Supporting commissioning and start-up activities for new and modified plant.
- Using digital engineering tools, process data and AI-assisted technologies to improve manufacturing performance.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for motivated engineers with a passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement. Candidates from a range of process industries are encouraged to apply, including:

- Oil & Gas

- FMCG
- Food & Beverage
- Water Treatment
- Petrochemicals
- Energy or other process manufacturing environments
You'll ideally have
- A degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Experience working within a process manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of process safety principles and HAZOP studies.
- Experience delivering process improvements or engineering projects.
- An interest in digital engineering tools, process data and emerging technologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is advantageous but not essential.
