Key responsibilities for the post include, but are not limited to:

  • Scope and model complex 'as-is' and 'to-be' processes to investigate business problems, identify opportunities for improvement, conduct gap analysis, and inform requirements.
  • Identify, manage and engage regularly with stakeholders at all levels to ensure that responsibilities are clear, their needs and expectations are managed and met, with clear requirements agreed and drafted, solutions negotiated.
  • Lead requirements workshops and draft appropriate outputs.
  • Collaborate with other professions in a multi-functional team to ensure that business objectives and user requirements are translated into appropriate technical solutions.
  • Conduct impact and Cost-Benefit analysis to identify the positive and negative consequences of a proposed change on people, processes and data.
  • Drive the design, execution and assessment of products, processes and usability tests.
  • Champion and drive the application of standards and best practice to ensure that BA artefacts created by self and others are delivered to a recognised quality.
  • Demonstrate expertise and provide guidance, mentoring, coaching and support to others.
  • Communicate information and ideas effectively through the appropriate medium and style.
  • Effectively use facilitation skills with stakeholders to build a shared understanding of problems to be solved.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience working in a multifunctional team collaborating on co-creation of design and solutions.
  • Relevant qualifications or professional memberships, such as BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or Level 4 Business Analysis Apprenticeship.
