Our client, a leading consultancy, is currently seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their team based in Dunfermline. This role involves working across various sites throughout Scotland, primarily on-site or in person, with occasionally one day of hybrid working possible. The role may involve rare overnight stays, compensated by financial extras such as dinner allowances, and access to company vehicles for site work whenever possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out gas and groundwater monitoring on site using specialist equipment
  • Inspection of investigation trial pits during excavation and logging of soils
  • Supervising earthworks and mine consolidation works on site
  • Onsite inspection of gas protection measures and environmental remediation works
  • Writing detailed reports
  • Liaising and communicating directly with clients and other professionals on the project
  • Collaborating with the internal team across the wider practice, including civil and structural engineering departments

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in geotechnical and geology disciplines
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
