Overview

Due to continued growth, a well established construction firm is seeking a Customer Care Advisor to join its customer service team. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a people focused organisation where quality, accountability, and pride in delivery are central to everything they do.

Role

As the first point of contact for their customer base, you'll manage customer care queries from initial report through to successful resolution. You'll coordinate remedial works with site teams, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring issues are addressed efficiently while keeping customers informed and reassured throughout the process. You’ll have ownership of your developments and customer cases, with the autonomy to organise your workload, prioritise tasks, and deliver a high‑quality service. Escalation support is available where required, but proactive issue resolution is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer aftercare
  • Liaise with customers, site teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Take ownership of customer issues through to completion before escalation where possible
  • Prepare and manage work instructions, invoices, and contra charges in line with cost approval limits
  • Respond to customer calls and written correspondence in line with service standards
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Deliver consistently high standards of customer service and professionalism

About You

The ideal candidate will be organised, calm under pressure, and genuinely committed to delivering an excellent customer experience. You will ideally have:

  • 1-2 years’ experience within property or housing would be advantageous
  • Experience of customer care / complaint handling
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills
  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
  • The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
