An opportunity has arisen for a part time Accounts Assistant to join our Admin Team. Based at our Head Office in Newbridge, Edinburgh, this is a varied role supporting the day-to-day functions of the finance department, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices, payments, credit cards and expense claims
- Maintain the bank feed and prepare weekly reconciliation of bank accounts
- Assist with weekly and monthly journal entries and reporting
- Reconcile supplier statements and utility accounts
- Monitor and process incoming post and emails to the finance mailbox
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team
- Other ad-hoc duties as specified by the business
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a varied commercial finance function and a good working knowledge of basic accounting processes
- Be proficient in accounting software (preferably Sage) and Excel
- Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Be enthusiastic, diligent, and work well both as an individual and as part of a small team

The role will be office-based in Newbridge during on-boarding and training, with the option to transition to hybrid working as mutually agreed between post-holder and Finance Manager. The part time role is for 3 days per week; for an initial 6 month period with the possibility to expand duties and to become permanent thereafter. The salary will be dependent on experience.
