About the role

This role sits within the Technical Assets function. Ready to take your IT project management career to the next level? If you thrive on variety, enjoy bringing people together, and want to deliver projects that make a real impact, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

We’re looking for a driven, talented and knowledgeable IT Project Manager to help turn ambitious ideas into successful delivery, working within our established project governance framework. It’s a brilliant time to join Edinburgh Airport. With a strong pipeline of varied and meaningful projects, you’ll have the chance to get stuck in from day one and play a key role in delivering the technology changes that will support the airport’s future growth.

We’ll support you to grow too, with opportunities to build your skills, develop your career and shape your future as part of a team that values both short-term progress and long-term ambition.

About the recruitment process

The recruitment process for this role will be comprised of two stages, with the first stage over Microsoft Teams – with our IT Service Delivery Manager and an IT Project Manager, and the second stage in person. Suitability for the role will be evaluated using a mixture of value, competency and technical questions.

Please remember interviews are a two-way process; it’s important for you to make sure we are the right fit for you. Please note, our interview process may be adjusted depending on the volume of candidates. We are committed to supporting diverse ways of thinking and working, so if you require adjustments in the recruitment process, please let us know on your application.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the delivery of IT infrastructure through the project lifecycle, from initiation through to transition to service.
  • Leading the delivery of IT infrastructure workstream objectives within wider capital projects.
  • Ensuring stakeholders are engaged and aligned on project outcomes.
  • Working closely with the IT team to ensure IT Change Delivery best practice is followed (including design assurance, change approval and transition to service).
  • Encouraging project delivery best practice and actively promoting continuous improvement of our processes and ways of working.

What we're looking for

To apply for this role, you'll need:

  • This role requires the successful candidate to obtain a Counter Terrorist Check, so you must have been living in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years.
  • Experience working on and delivering IT infrastructure projects.
  • Experience of influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of people, and guide them towards achieving a common goal.
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, and good ability to distil technical information into plain language.

If your experience looks slightly different to what we've listed here, we encourage you to still apply. You could add something we didn't know we needed.
