We are currently seeking to appoint a Service Support Supervisor to join our team in Stockport, Manchester, on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Service Support Supervisor, you will oversee the efficient scheduling, diagnosis, and delivery of service operations for gas and diesel engine installations.

Your primary focus will be to maintain high performance across all contract engines while supervising engineers and service teams to deliver cost-effective, reliable service.

You will co-ordinate all planned and reactive maintenance activities, supporting engineers both remotely and on-site with fault diagnosis and resolution.

Additionally, you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the service team
  • Ensure service operations are delivered efficiently and meet customer expectations
  • Monitor and control operating costs in line with commercial targets
  • Maintain strong relationships across the parts and service organisation
  • Track contract and job profitability and provide regular performance updates

About You

To be considered as a Service Support Supervisor, you’ll need:

  • At a minimum, an ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering or motor vehicle studies or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years’ supervisory experience
  • To be a time-served technician in a mechanical and/or electrical discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of gas/diesel engines
  • Effective IT skills and competency in the use of Microsoft Office Packages
  • A full, valid driving licence

Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm.

This role will involve weekend work and possible out-of-hours work. You will be required to participate in an established 24-hour callout programme based on a rota system.
