The Role
As a Sales Applications Engineer, you will support the company’s sales activity through the preparation of high-quality tenders, quotations, proposals, and sales leads into profitable orders. Working with service and production departments, you will ensure that the technical aspects of customers’ requirements are met in the most cost-effective manner. You will ensure timely responses to live opportunities, support business priorities through effective tender management, and conduct market research to keep proposals competitive, relevant and aligned with industry developments.
About You
To be considered as a Sales Applications Engineer, you will need:
- To be educated to degree level in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role or equivalent. OR
- HND/HNC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role or equivalent.
- To be a competent person with considerable technical expertise in power generation utilising reciprocating engines, batteries, standby and all associated mechanical and electrical systems, energy production and O&M operation, CDM and health and safety.
- To have considerable experience in the successful design, technical management and development of Energy Projects.
- To have effective IT skills and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office Packages and have experience in using CRM systems for tracking proposals.
- To hold a full, valid driving licence.
Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm and Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm.
