Were now looking for an Operations Engineer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm. This role will also involve some weekend and out-of-hours support as required.

The Role
As an Operations Engineer, youll carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work on a range of power generation and energy installations.
Ensuring customer satisfaction is delivered every time, you will diagnose and implement reactive maintenance and optimise operational processes to maximise uptime. Where possible, youll provide first-time fixes to promote cost-effective and reliable service.
Additionally, you will:
– Fault-find and troubleshoot technical issues on gas and diesel engines
– Manage contractor activities to ensure cost effective and efficient service
– Ensure all service work aligns with manufacturers instructions and service schedules
– Complete all paperwork accurately and on time, including job reports and timesheets
As part of your role, you will participate in the 24-hour call-out rota, providing crucial support for breakdowns.
About You
To be considered as an Operations Engineer, you will need:
– To have a minimum, ONC, NVQ Level II or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering, motor vehicle studies or equivalent.
– To be a competent time served technician, preferably with a minimum of 3 years industrial mechanical / electrical experience.
– To be a competent technician with considerable skills and in-depth knowledge of gas/diesel engines.
– To have excellent technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
– To have effective IT skills and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office Packages.
– To hold a full, valid driving licence.
