The Role:
As our Commercial Operations Manager, you will lead and co-ordinate commercial operations with a focus on sustainable growth, margin enhancement and high-quality service delivery. You will provide strategic commercial leadership, ensuring operational delivery aligns with long-term business objectives and growth plans.
Reporting to the Service Director, you will monitor profitability, revenue recovery and cost performance, identifying risks and opportunities across contracts and customers. You will support the development of commercial strategies, customer proposals and framework agreements to strengthen long-term business relationships. Beyond this, you will act as a key commercial advisor to the board, providing insight and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
About You:
To be considered as our Commercial Operations Manager, you will need:
- Proven experience in a commercial, operational or facilities management role, ideally within an engineering, manufacturing or service environment
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities with experience in quotations, pricing, contracts, reporting, budgeting and margin management
- Strong business and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance financial, operational, and customer priorities
- The ability to interpret financial data and apply it to commercial decision-making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, with experience of ERP, service or commercial management systems
- To be educated to HND level or equivalent, including English and Mathematics
- A qualification in business studies, commercial management, finance, accounting, or a related discipline
- A professional qualification (or be working towards this) in a relevant discipline such as finance or commercial management
- A full, valid driving licence
Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm and Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm.
