This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician to join our Design team and support the delivery of engineering projects through the production of high-quality technical drawings and documentation. You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team where your technical expertise, attention to detail and commitment to quality will have a direct impact on the successful delivery of our projects.
The Role:
As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing drawings and documentation at the request of the Design Manager, Design Engineers and Project Managers, while supporting the Projects, Sales and Service departments. Working within the Design department, you will prepare design layouts and detailed drawings, including integrating topographic surveys to OS coordinates and producing setting out plans. You will update design documentation in accordance with revision control procedures while producing and maintaining the library of standard objects and symbols. You will liaise with clients and suppliers to maintain the timely flow of information and conduct site visits for the design process and update as-built drawings.
About You:
- City & Guilds - Computer Aided Design Level 3
- A minimum of five years' experience using 3D AutoCAD within a construction or engineering background
- Proficient in AutoCAD and preparation of 3D models which have been used to produce accurate engineering drawings
- Experience with AutoCAD MEP
- Effective IT skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages
- Full current driving licence
Hours of Work: 8:30AM - 5:00PM Mon - Thurs & 8:30AM - 4:00PM Friday.
