About Edifai
Edifai was founded three years ago by practitioners with decades of combined experience in digital transformation training. They saw the need for practical AI education that helps people apply generative AI in real work. Since then, we’ve delivered large‑scale programmes for organisations including WPP, Publicis, The World Bank, The Nature Conservancy, and Intersystems (just to name a few). We’re now entering an exciting new stage of growth, and looking for a Business Development Director to help us get there. This is a full‑time role focused on turning a strong pipeline into enterprise‑wide partnerships, creating new opportunities through your network, and refining processes that already deliver results. You’ll join a talented team where your impact will be immediate, and where our boutique agility combines with global reach through a network of leading experts and facilitators.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the New Business Pipeline: Take qualified leads from our outreach team and move them confidently through the funnel to create and close enterprise‑wide opportunities. Leverage your own network to open new doors, lead client conversations, and build strong relationships that convert interest into lasting partnerships. Use a consultative approach to uncover client needs and design tailored proposals, working closely with the CEO and Growth Manager to ensure we create long‑term value, not just one‑off sales. Manage the full sales‑cycle including proposals, contract generation and other deliverables for closing. Ensure all commercial and legal documentation is in place.
- Drive Revenue Growth: Take ownership of ambitious revenue targets, both for yourself and for a small sales team. Focus on securing high‑value clients and multi‑program partnerships, while coaching the team to do the same. Drive revenue growth aligned with Edifai’s targets, ensuring monthly sales goals are consistently met. Use Hubspot for lead management and sales forecasting. Accurately manage forecast pipeline month over month. Shape winning proposals and sales strategies with the support of colleagues, and contribute to prospecting and marketing activity to keep the pipeline full. By staying close to market trends and client challenges, you’ll be able to offer real value‑add that deepens relationships and drives revenue. And when it comes to generating business, from calls and meetings to events and networking, you’ll do what it takes to get results.
- Work the Edifai Way: Harness AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini to boost efficiency and output across your sales activity. Bring ideas, energy, and a hunter mindset to every part of the process. Operate with autonomy, and collaborate closely with the wider team when it matters, combining drive with teamwork to close deals and scale our impact.
Who You Are
- Experienced in solution selling with a proven record of closing large, complex deals.
- Hungry and competitive, motivated by results and reward.
- Strong consultative skills: able to listen, understand, and play client needs back with clarity.
- Entrepreneurial thinker, willing to do what it takes to win big clients in a competitive market.
- Comfortable with longer sales cycles and building partnerships over time.
- Based in London and willing to work in our central office, with flexibility for remote when needed.
- Experience in L&D/Edtech is advantageous, but not a must.
The Offer
- Competitive base salary and uncapped commission.
- Reporting line: CEO.
- Flexible work location and hours.
- Join a team that’s shaping the future of AI education, with a chance to win big and grow with the company.
If you’re motivated by the chance to shape growth in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
