Senior Investment Analyst - Hedge Funds, Single Family Office
Our client is a single family office seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join its hedge fund research team. The firm manages over 1bn AUM through a concentrated portfolio of external managers across hedge funds and specialist strategies.
Role Overview
As part of the hedge fund research team, you will take responsibility for sourcing, analysing and monitoring hedge fund managers and underlying strategies. You will contribute to both quantitative and qualitative due diligence, prepare investment materials for decision makers and begin to lead elements of the research process. This role offers the opportunity to mentor junior analysts and play a meaningful role in shaping research frameworks, tools and processes within a lean investment team.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen and conduct due diligence on hedge fund managers and strategies
- Analyse performance drivers, risk and return characteristics, liquidity and exposures
- Build and maintain analytics including returns, risk attribution, drawdowns and correlation
- Prepare investment memos and research reports for the investment committee
- Attend manager meetings and global conferences
- Monitor existing allocations, flag issues and drive review agendas
- Collaborate with portfolio management, operations, risk and compliance
- Improve research tools and dashboards and help build industry networks
- Mentor junior team members and ensure research output quality
What We Are Looking For
- 6 to 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in hedge fund or multi‑manager research
- Strong analytical capability with excellent written communication skills
- Curious, independent thinker who thrives in a lean team environment and enjoys ownership
