We have a very exciting opportunity for an Investment Analyst working for a dynamic Real Estate organisation in London.

Main Purpose: Assisting the investment and reporting teams with financial analysis throughout the deal lifecycle.

Main Duties:

  • To immediately bolster the Investment Managers (IM) and Investor Relations (IR) functions within the business to support with the design, build and interpretation of bespoke financial models at an asset and portfolio level.
  • This includes involvement in determining complex finance and tenant structures, calculating NPV/IRR/distributions, and ensuring the IR and IMs have thorough supporting material and understanding for and of your models.
  • You will support the IM/IR team by immediately problem-solving and improving their financial analysis and due diligence on potential investment opportunities, adding visible value to the opportunities they are creating and opening the door to alternative approaches.
  • You will spend time completing inspections, underwriting appraisals and discussing assumptions with the IR team in order to positively contribute to their decision-making; your insight will be valuable in helping to create opportunities.
  • Creating reports to High-Net-Worth Investors, supporting with the creation and refinement of Financial Models, and analysing market trends in order to effect these and identify opportunities; your role will be far-reaching and determined around your hunger.
  • Supporting the monitoring of the performance of portfolio companies, tracking key financial and operational indicators, and providing the key metrics to the relevant stakeholders.
  • The list of duties reflects the core activities of the role but is not intended to be all-inclusive. The analyst may be required to support other teams, projects and work streams other than what is listed above.
  • The main purpose of this role is to determine which functions need the most analytical support, and to be the main resource to provide this. It is a far-reaching role which will be exposed to multiple functions in an all-encompassing Real Estate business.

Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree level educated within a real estate, finance, economics or mathematics related degree from a top tier university.
  • 6-18 month experience in institutional real estate investment, private equity real estate investment, or in the REIB team of a ranked investment bank.
  • Experience in office and retail sectors, or other operationally complex asset classes.
  • Demonstrable high analytical skills with a strong understanding of Excel modelling valuation techniques, with specific reference to real estate modelling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • ACCA/ACA/CFA progression towards professional qualifications are highly desired but not essential.
  • Extensive experience of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Word.

Salary and Benefits: Highly Competitive Base Salary, dependent upon experience. 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays.
