Working Hours: Normal working hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 5.00pm – 7.00pm, term time only (including INSETs).
Founded in 1906, Edgeborough is one of the leading, co-educational, independent Prep schools in Surrey situated in 50 acres of outstanding countryside in Frensham, Farnham. The Estates Department is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the school’s facilities, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and inspiring environment for both students and staff.
The Role: Edgeborough School is seeking an evening minibus driver to deliver a safe and efficient minibus service to our pupils. The Minibus Driver plays a key role in supporting the school’s operational activities by driving the minibus in a responsible and competent manner, ensuring safety is your top priority.
Main Responsibilities:
- To undertake the safe transportation of students on the agreed service routes in the school minibus
- Maintain accurate records of the children using the service each day
- Carry out driver’s vehicle checks and basic maintenance, ensuring the bus is clean and tidy before and after each journey
- Driving safely, with due care and attention to the traffic regulations, thus ensuring the safety of the pupils and staff on board at all times
- To report any damage or maintenance issues immediately to the Estates Manager
- Declare any driving sanctions or convictions that may affect the driving or insurance of the school minibus
- To be aware and comply with safeguarding procedures and policies
- Other reasonable duties expected of a mini-bus driver
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Full and valid driving licence and minimum of 2 years driving experience
- Medically fit to drive minibuses
- Ability to maintain accurate vehicle records
- Be reliable, punctual and smart appearance
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to specific timescales, but also an ability to work as part of a team and to form professional relationships
- The ability to be adaptable and flexible in approach and professional at all times
Desirable:
- D1 category licence (training can be provided)
- Experience in driving minibuses/large vehicles
- Local and surrounding areas road knowledge
- Experience within a school environment
