Edge is seeking a dynamic Transport Distribution Manager to join our management team and lead our Traffic Office operations. This is a pivotal role, driving efficiency, service excellence, and commercial performance across all transport functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage the Traffic Office team, setting clear KPIs and fostering a safe, compliant, and high-performing environment.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of consignments—from receipt and transport planning to delivery and customer service—ensuring effective support for drivers and smooth operational handovers.
- Collaborate with the Fleet & Driver Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Nights Manager to coordinate daily operations, resource planning, and workload prioritisation.
- Drive continuous improvement in service levels, resource utilisation, and gross profit, while maintaining compliance with Health & Safety, company policies, and legal requirements.
- Support business development by identifying operational efficiencies and profit-generating opportunities.

- Compliance with operational procedures and BRCGS standards
- Service levels for Palletline, General Haulage, and Hazchem
- Efficiency, utilisation, and revenue optimisation
- Health & Safety culture and zero-harm initiatives

Skills & Experience
- Proven transport or Traffic Office management experience
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
