Edge Transport is seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver to join our busy local haulage team. This is a full-time position with 45 contracted hours per week. Working hours are managed over a reference period, with any additional hours paid at the standard rate. You will be driving one of our well-maintained vehicles, all of which are under five years old.

Applicants must hold a HGV Class 2 licence (with no more than 3 points) and ideally have more than 1 year Class 2 driving experience as well as a full CPC in order to apply for this role. Ongoing CPC training will be provided.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carrying out daily vehicle, loading, and safety checks
  • Delivering to both commercial and residential addresses
  • Acting professionally and safely at all times whilst representing Edge Transport
  • Meeting target fuel efficiency and route time requirements
  • Ensuring the allocated vehicle is kept clean and presentable
  • Acting responsibly to ensure food product quality, safety, and legal compliance
  • Reporting any damage, defects, near misses, or non-conformances
  • Completing all required paperwork accurately and within required timescales
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and Tachograph regulations
