About the Role

Due to their success and continued expansion globally, they are growing their platform team and looking to hire a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their high‑performing tech team in the UK. With a client list that includes big names such as Starling and Metro Bank, you'll be joining a credible player in the AI space and will be responsible for building and improving text-to-speech solutions within real‑time production systems. You will lead productisation of machine learning models and pipelines in a multi‑tenant environment. On top of this, you will handle the build, implementation, and maintenance of text-to-speech solutions, giving you the chance to explore new and exciting AI opportunities. You will also contribute to design discussions and lead through example to junior members of the team, acting as a mentor.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of commercial software development experience for global SAAS/PAAS platforms.
  • 2+ years of commercial ML experience.
  • Non-relational and relational data architecture with expertise building scalable, reliable architectures.
  • Experience with text-to-speech solutions such as FastSpeech, Tacotron, VITS.
  • Experience with one or more cloud services (such as AWS, GCP, and Azure).
  • Knowledge of and experience using Python or Golang and maybe some Kubernetes.
  • A background in professional software engineering best practices, such as coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, and testing.
