This is your chance to gain exposure to a mix of claimant and respondent employment work under the supervision of leading Partners. You’ll manage a broad caseload of both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, with lots of client contact due to being part of a small team consisting of 2 Partners and one junior Solicitor. This structure allows for both supervision from above and junior support, enabling you to concentrate on more complex work and providing a clear progression path ahead of you.
Each day will be varied, making it a great place to maintain a broad skill set at this stage of your career. Their client base includes senior executives, SMEs, and international businesses, allowing for significant client interaction and the opportunity to run some matters independently.
You can expect a varied caseload covering both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, representing both employers and employees. For example:
- Advise employer clients on all aspects of employment law, including capability and attendance issues, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and termination of employment.
- Draft and review employment contracts, settlement agreements, and HR documents.
- Support the Partners in handling complex employment disputes, including Employment Tribunal claims.
The firm has a hybrid working model, and you can expect to be in the office 3 days a week.
What you’ll need:
- 2-4 PQE Employment Solicitor.
- Qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
- Experience gained in private practice.
