This is a rare opportunity for a Dispute Resolution Solicitor to work with a unique client base within the media industry. Based in London, this firm is ranked in the Legal 500 and has an excellent reputation.

People join them for their training, which often won’t be in a formal setting. They frequently have seminars with top Barristers, but it will be more hands-on. The training you’ll receive will be through mentoring and supervision from the Partners in the firm, several of whom are Legal 500 “Hall of Fame Lawyers.”

Unlike some of the big international and City law firms, you’ll get a lot more client contact and will be brought to all client meetings. One of the team was recently on site with a global entertainment company, while another was pursuing business development at a music industry festival. You will be given the autonomy to build your own personal brand in the industry.

For a media and entertainment specialist firm, their dispute resolution team is strong and is a key area of growth for them. They have 3 Partners and have recently hired from Magic Circle and US law firms. There will be a clear progression path, with 2 Senior Associates in the team on the Partnership path. You’ll sit above the juniors in the team and have a clear pathway to Senior Associate ahead of you.

They offer hybrid working, though you’ll mostly be office-based. Your work/life balance will be respected, and it’ll be a change in pace if you’re coming from Big Law.

What you’ll be doing:

  • IP disputes - copyright matters
  • General commercial litigation – breach of contract / shareholder disputes
  • Defamation and reputation management

What you’ll need:

  • 3-5 PQE Dispute Resolution Solicitor
  • Qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Exposure to IP disputes

If you have a CV, please send it over to george@edgetalentsolutions.com. If you don’t, just call or WhatsApp George on 07858 876 787 for an informal chat. Everyone will get a response. Deadline for applications is Friday 27th June.
