If you’re an NQ-2 PQE Commercial Litigation Solicitor, you’ll want to keep your experience broad and work on a variety of complex cases. This Legal 500 ranked team has an excellent reputation and is frequently sought after for their expertise. You will therefore work with clients from across multiple different sectors.

One day you’ll be working with multinational energy companies, the next, it’ll be HNWIs on everything from High Court litigation through to international arbitration and ADR. You'll get genuine responsibility, direct partner supervision and have a varied caseload. This will include breach of contract, shareholder disputes, civil fraud, insolvency, real estate disputes and banking litigation.

In time, if you want to specialise, you can. But when you start you can expect lots of variety. You’ll have supervision from senior lawyers and be joining a team of 9. This means there will always be someone on hand to help you understand complex areas of law.

Looking further ahead, you will have plenty of opportunity to progress. There have been several promotions within the team, and this is a pathway you can follow. You can get involved in business development - an all-important skill, which is good to get into the habit of at this stage of your career.

Unlike many of its peers, this firm has built a practice where excellent work and a real work/life balance go hand in hand. Hybrid working is embedded — you'll be in their central London office three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for the rest.
