As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Social Work As Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Social Work, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our Social Work programmes, contributing to the delivery of our modules on Social Work programmes and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.
We would particularly welcome candidates who could teach one or more of our Social Work modules (UG and PG) You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and quantitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise.

You will have significant experience of working in social work, including general and specific practitioner insight, with experience of working with children and families.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to adapt communication to meet the needs of students, team members and other colleagues.
You will have the ability to draw from your social work experiences to ensure students are taught in a way that links social work practice with theory in a meaningful way.
You would ideally have experience of working with students, through education or practice.
Those with teaching experience are welcomed, whilst those coming directly from practice and willing to engage in teaching and learning development and encouraged to apply.
You must be willing to undertake professional and academic development and training which will make you into a highly effective educator in social work education.
A background in Social with supporting qualifications and experience would be an advantage.
To be successful you will further enrich our student's experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice.
