As a Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality fitness, personal training and exercise referral services to students, staff and community members.

You will supervise the fitness suite, deliver member inductions and provide professional guidance to ensure customers use the facilities safely, effectively and confidently.

You will design and deliver personalised training programmes, provide one-to-one coaching and support members to achieve their individual health and fitness goals.

You will contribute to member engagement, retention and the promotion of Edge Hill Sport's services, as well as supporting the continued development of its fitness, health and wellbeing provision.

The role will also involve working collaboratively with colleagues across the University to support wider health, wellbeing and physical activity initiatives, while ensuring high standards of customer service, health and safety and operational delivery are maintained.

You will be a Level 3 qualified fitness professional with relevant experience in personal training, fitness instruction and/or exercise referral.

You will have a sound knowledge of exercise, health and wellbeing and the ability to provide appropriate, tailored advice to a diverse range of customers.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships and deliver a high standard of customer service.

You will be organised, self-motivated and able to work independently, managing your workload effectively and responding positively to the demands of a busy environment.

You will demonstrate a commitment to promoting health, wellbeing and physical activity and have the enthusiasm and professionalism to contribute to the continued development and success of Edge Hill Sport.
