This is an exciting opportunity to join Edge Hill University as Clinical Lecturer in General Practice, Infectious Diseases Or Intensive Care Medicine in collaboration with Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), for a committed and enthusiastic clinician in higher specialty training (minimum level of ST3).
As Clinical Lecturer, you will spend 50% of your time in clinical training as part of the North West Region STR training programmes and 50% undertaking research and developing your academic skills. Your research and academic commitments will complement existing areas of strength, and areas for growth within the Faculty. The posts are available for a maximum of four years, subject to satisfactory annual review by a joint University/Health Education North West 'Annual Review of Competence Progression' (ARCP) process. It is expected that the Clinical Lecturers will have applied for National Clinician Scientist Awards within the 4 year period.

About You: In order for you to be successful in your application for this post, you will have a minimum of 34/36 months experience in a relevant clinical specialty, with a primary medical qualification and full GMC registration. You will be committed to continued CPD, and work in conjunction with the university and the clinical provider contributing to the EHU Primary and Integrated Care Research Centre (EPIC).
It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Adult disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
