As an Associate Lecturer (Simulated Practice Learning), you will be a member of the Simulation and Skills Education Team, with responsibility for coordinating and supporting simulation and clinical skills teaching and learning. You will support the planning, design, and delivery of simulation and clinical skills sessions that enables students’ development into safe, competent healthcare professionals. In addition, you will provide guidance and support to academic staff in the effective use of simulation-based education. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued development and expansion of clinical skills teaching and simulation-based education within the Simulation and Skills Education Department. This will be an interesting, varied and challenging role, which will require you to be adaptable, creative, supportive and organised, with a willingness to try new approaches.

About You

  • Current Professional Registration (GMC, NMC or HCPC) and educated to degree level
  • Experience of using simulation-based education using patient simulators and/or simulated patients
  • Able to organise and prioritise and work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines and paying attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, exercise initiative and independent judgement
