Location: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
Company: Edge Careers
Sector: Construction Recruitment
Role Type: Full-time / Permanent
Edge Careers is looking to appoint a Candidate Intelligence & Recruitment Delivery Consultant as part of a new way of working across the business. This is not an administration role. This is a skilled recruitment delivery role for someone smart, organised and commercially aware, who can help identify, understand, and engage high-quality candidates across the UK construction market.
The purpose of the role is to strengthen how we source, qualify, map, and manage candidate information, while giving our senior recruiters better-quality intelligence and support around live vacancies, future opportunities, and key client sectors. We are looking for someone who can become a valued part of the recruitment process, not simply someone to search CVs or update records. The right person will be trained to understand construction roles, company structures, candidate suitability, career paths and what makes someone relevant to a particular vacancy or client.
We operate across Permanent, Freelance, and Executive-level construction recruitment. We use Access Vincere as our recruitment CRM, and the successful person will play an important role in helping us use the system properly as a source of market intelligence, candidate knowledge, and recruitment delivery.
The role will involve:
- Researching, identifying, and approaching suitable candidates for live vacancies and future opportunities.
- Building intelligent candidate longlists, talent pools, and market maps across key construction sectors.
- Learning construction roles, job titles, company types, and career paths so that candidate matching becomes increasingly accurate and valuable.
- Using Access Vincere, LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and wider research methods to identify relevant people.
- Speaking with candidates to understand their experience, motivations, location, salary expectations, availability and suitability.
- Providing recruiters with well-researched, relevant and properly qualified candidate information.
- Helping improve the quality, accuracy and usefulness of candidate data within Access Vincere.
- Supporting senior recruiters with targeted search activity, candidate intelligence, and vacancy delivery.
- Identifying patterns, gaps and opportunities within the candidate market.
- Helping create a more efficient, quality-led, and consistent way of working across Edge.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is intelligent, curious, and able to understand people, roles and markets.
- Has experience in recruitment, resourcing, talent acquisition, candidate sourcing, research, or a similar people-focused role.
- Understands that successful recruitment is about relevance, judgement, and timing, not just volume.
- Can communicate professionally and confidently with candidates.
- Has strong attention to detail and can handle information accurately.
- Is comfortable using CRM systems, LinkedIn, job boards, and online research tools.
- Can think commercially and understand why candidate quality matters to clients and recruiters.
- Is proactive, organised, and able to work across multiple priorities.
- Wants to become genuinely knowledgeable within the construction recruitment market.
- Construction recruitment experience would be useful but is not essential. We will provide training on construction roles, sectors, terminology and what good candidate suitability looks like.
- Experience using Access Vincere would also be useful, but the key requirement is someone with the ability to learn systems properly and use information intelligently.
What we can offer:
- A new and important role within an established construction recruitment business.
- Training in construction roles, sectors, terminology, candidate suitability, and recruitment delivery.
- The chance to work closely with highly experienced senior recruiters.
- A role that has real value in how the business operates and improves.
- The opportunity to help shape a smarter, more consistent, and more effective recruitment delivery model.
- A business where judgement, quality, relationships, and market knowledge matter.
This role is part of a deliberate move to strengthen how Edge operates. The aim is to allow recruiters to spend more time recruiting, while giving them better candidate intelligence, stronger search support and more effective use of our database and technology. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to be more than a traditional Resourcer and become a valued, knowledgeable, and trusted part of a high-quality recruitment team.
