This is a full-time role for a Bid Writer based in West Malling. This is a fantastic business with a great reputation in the construction industry where they have exciting plans for the future. Role: You will be responsible for the production of high-quality bid responses for all PQQs and Tender Submissions, covering both written content and the overall design and presentation of documents.
Responsibilities:
- Attend tender launch meetings (and review meetings as necessary) including leading discussion of quality requirements within these meetings.
- Write and edit clear, high-quality content that reflects scoring criteria and client requirements.
- Work with estimators and planners to turn technical information into clear, client-focused responses.
- Responsible for the quality and presentation of the overall document, including layouts, graphics and logistics plans, in line with Interclass brand guidelines.
- Write and tailor CVs and case studies to suit each bid and client requirements.
- Ensure all bid submission deadlines are met and check and proof-read final copy prior to submission.
- Manage the production of presentations to support post tender interviews.
- Capture and share feedback from PQQs and tenders to support continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain a library of up-to-date, high-quality bid content.
- Attend and contribute to weekly preconstruction meetings.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a bid writing role, ideally within the construction sector.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage multiple submissions and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proven ability to manage workload independently and take ownership of bids.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Creative approach with a strong eye for document design and presentation.
- Ability to structure and produce high-quality, visually appealing and persuasive bid submissions.
