Site Engineer required for 3-4 months on groundworks project in Stone, Staffs. The project is a £25 Million new build industrial unit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting out for bolts, bases, drainage, utilities, slab, foundations, S278, sewers and externals.
  • Setting out and quality checks for structural steelwork, drainage works, underpinning, earthworks and excavations, groundworks.
  • Check setting out information.
  • Establish primary and secondary dimensional control.
  • Check and record control points.
  • Complete Permit to Load/Strike.
  • Requisition materials for in situ concrete works and obtain approvals.
  • Supervise concrete deliveries including pre and post-pour inspections.
  • Maintain site diary including maintaining good housekeeping on site.
  • Manage and co-ordinate construction of all structural elements.
  • Set out and maintain structural accuracy and main and internal gridlines including levels.
  • Implement the Project Management Plan, engineering procedures and practices.
  • Ensure that appropriate quality records are being produced.
  • Understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Compilation of as-built drawings and create construction drawings for information.
  • Experience with AutoCad and Total Station.
  • Compilation of QA sheets for sub and super structural elements.
  • Advise on buildability issues as required.
  • Assist to prepare scope of works and reports as required.
  • Carry out site surveys, levelling and setting out.
  • Working out cut and fill quantities.
  • Managing subcontractors, Cut and Fill/Groundworker/RC/Steel including checking setting out of subcontractor.

Site Engineer MUST be able to provide two recent references.
