Site Engineer required for 6 months on groundworks project in Stourbridge. The project is a new build testing facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting out for bolts, bases, drainage, utilities, slab, RC foundations, S278, sewers and externals.
- Setting out and quality checks for structural steelwork, RC works, drainage works, underpinning, earthworks and excavations.
- Check setting out information.
- Establish primary and secondary dimensional control.
- Check and record control points.
- Complete Permit to Load/Strike.
- Requisition materials for in situ concrete works and obtain approvals.
- Supervise concrete deliveries including pre and post-pour inspections.
- Maintain site diary including maintaining good housekeeping on site.
- Manage and co-ordinate construction of all structural elements.
- Set out and maintain structural accuracy and main and internal gridlines including levels.
- Implement the Project Management Plan, engineering procedures and practices.
- Ensure that appropriate quality records are being produced.
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Compilation of as-built drawings and create construction drawings for information.
- Experience with AutoCad and Total Station.
- Compilation of QA sheets for sub and super structural elements.
- Advise on buildability issues as required.
- Assist to prepare scope of works and reports as required.
- Carry out site surveys, levelling and setting out.
- Working out cut and fill quantities.
- Managing subcontractors, Cut and Fill/Groundworker/RC/Steel including checking QA.
All applicants MUST have a valid CSCS card, have previous experience in groundworks and earthworks and be able to provide two recent references.
