Having achieved significant growth over recent years, the business now enjoys a turnover of around £100m and is recognised as a trusted delivery partner across a wide range of sectors including education, healthcare, residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking a Senior Bid Writer to join their pre-construction team. Working closely with the Proposals Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing new work and helping to shape the company’s future success. Key Responsibilities * Lead the writing, coordination, and delivery of high-quality submissions, including EOIs, PQQs, ITTs, and client presentations. * Own the bid writing process from start to finish, ensuring clarity, compliance, and consistency. * Produce compelling, tailored, and client-focused content that highlights the company’s capabilities, expertise, and added value. * Work to strict deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism. * Collaborate with technical experts to capture project knowledge and transform it into winning responses. * Develop and maintain a library of high quality answers, case studies, and project examples to drive efficiency. * Lead and contribute to bid review processes, providing constructive feedback to improve quality. * Champion innovation and continuous improvement across the bid function. * Provide mentoring and support to junior team members. * Build strong working relationships across Pre-Construction, Commercial, and Delivery teams to ensure content is both accurate and relevant. Experience & Knowledge Required * Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Bid Writer role, ideally within the construction or built environment sector. * Proven track record of producing successful bids for public sector frameworks and contracts. * Experience in developing and managing a content library/knowledge system. * Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills. * APMP membership or working towards accreditation (desirable but not essential).
