We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Contracts Manager to lead and manage multiple construction projects across pre‑construction, construction, and post‑construction stages. This is a senior operational role, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and support project teams, providing guidance, mentoring, and motivation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, engaging effectively with project stakeholders.
- Develop and implement project delivery strategies aligned to business objectives and KPIs.
- Participate in tendering processes, including programme development, methodologies, quality submissions, and client presentations.
- Work with the Commercial Manager to manage contract administration and project documentation.
- Maintain and action project risk and opportunity registers, supporting teams in risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, wellbeing, quality, programme, commercial, and contract standards.
- Oversee all operational management across the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery to agreed standards.
- Produce accurate, timely project reports, including monthly client progress updates.
- Ensure deliverables such as BREEAM and Considerate Constructors requirements are met.
- Promote innovative construction techniques and continuous professional development for self and teams.
- Support recruitment, development, and mentoring of project team members.
- Contribute to corporate social responsibility initiatives and work‑winning activities.
