An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Site Manager to join a residential developer on a new build housing scheme in Worcestershire. This role will support the Site Manager in delivering a high-quality development, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the construction site
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met
- Monitor site progress against programme schedules and report on milestones
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including conducting site inductions and toolbox talks
- Support quality control processes, including inspections and snagging
- Maintain site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and H&S documentation
- Assist in managing materials, deliveries, and site logistics
- Promote a positive site culture focused on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Liaise with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders as required
- Customer liaison (pre- and post-sale), including home demonstrations and completion of drive surveys
Requirements
- Previous experience in a residential construction environment (housebuilding preferred)
- Experience supporting site operations on new build housing developments
- Good understanding of construction processes, NHBC standards, and UK building regulations
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain high standards on site
- Proactive and motivated approach with a willingness to learn
Qualifications & Certifications
- SMSTS or SSSTS (essential or working towards)
- First Aid at Work (desirable)
