One of my clients is looking to grow their people team and is recruiting a dedicated HR Specialist / HR Advisor to help create an inclusive, supportive, and high-performance workplace. As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to help shape the employee experience across the organisation.

Role Overview

As an HR Advisor, you will provide professional, proactive, and confidential HR support to managers and employees. You’ll act as a key point of contact for HR queries, guiding colleagues through people processes and ensuring best practice at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and colleagues.
  • Advise on HR policies, procedures, and UK employment legislation.
  • Support leaders with HR advice and guidance on people matters.
  • Manage employee relations cases (e.g., disciplinaries, grievances, sickness management).
  • Oversee and deliver an effective onboarding experience, including facilitating Central Service Induction days.
  • Assist with performance management processes and organisational development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Support HR projects such as wellbeing, engagement, and diversity & inclusion initiatives.
  • Analyse check-in data and support leaders in improving the frequency and quality of check-ins.

About You

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work confidentially and handle sensitive information.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards) is desirable.
